BIHC Under-12 Beesties

The Beesties are the "junior" of our two under-12 teams.

Age

To be in this team players have to have thier 12th birthday after 31st December of the playing season.

Season 2012/13
Born in 2001 or after

Introduction

The Under-12s is the first age group that plays to the (nearly) complete IIHF rulebook.
Exceptions are

  • No bodychecking
  • OK to change on icing

Games

At Bracknell our junior teams play 3 * 15 minutes (the alternative which is selected by some clubs is 2 * 20).
We chose 3 * 15 because it gets the players an extra 5 minutes of play. Our coaches agree to spend just 2 minutes at period-break and to spend it on the bench.
