Four players from Bracknell have been selected to represent
England this season, two for England under 13s and two for
England under 14s.
All
four players play for the Bracknell Hummers under 14s team.
Chris Beal (who played for England under 13s last season) and
Ilya Antonov have been selected to play for the under 14s after
a week long selection/training camp held in Hull in July.
Harvey Stead and Simon Hobbis were selected after a series of
trials held at Sheffield and Nottingham over the summer, both
these players were part of last seasons Bracknell under 12s who
won the National Finals.
The
England under 13s will travel to Quebec, Canada in February 2009
to play in the International Pee-Wee Tournament, the largest
junior ice hockey tournament in the world, with 2,300
competitors from 16 countries.
The
England under 14s will travel to Oakville (near Toronto), Canada
on Boxing Day to play in the Richard Bell Memorial Tournament,
and will also be playing in Latvia at Easter 2009.
